Workplace Readiness Program

TeenWORKS™ (Working on Occupational Readiness, Knowledge, and Skills) is a vocational program for teens on the autism spectrum between 13 and 21 years old. We help prepare teens for the workplace and place them in jobs with employers eager to serve as a Community Partner Site. Our program is funded for families in financial need and available on a private pay basis.  At this time, we also accept funds through the Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP) and Desert Regional Center (DRC).

  • Gain job readiness skills
  • Understand workplace expectations
  • Build their resume
  • Develop social and behavioral skills
  • Identify a passion in life

We offer Parent Empowerment Trainings and encourage you to meet with your assigned Consultant every 4-6 weeks to discuss the goals and development of your child. Once vocational goals are reached, teens are encouraged to generalize their skills by transitioning to our internship program. Opportunities available on a case-by-case basis.

This Program operates under UNLV Medicine Ackerman Autism Center

“Avery has learned how to work together with others and has learned about the responsibility of showing up and being committed to something outside of school.  These are life skill lessons that will help him be successful in a paying job. Thank you Lynda and Team for giving us this opportunity and letting our kids feel valued and gain self-esteem!” ~ BP
